                  MDC confers more associate degrees than any other community college in the country. Since the college opened in 1960, more than 390,000 degrees and certificates have been awarded.

                      - 14% of Fall 2017 transfer students enrolled  in the State University System come from MDC
- 71%       of 2017-18 Associate in Arts graduates found on follow-up had transferred       to Florida universities or colleges (public and private) to continue their       education within one year
- 83% of 2017-18 graduates with Bachelor's or Associate       in Science degrees found on follow-up were employed within one year
- 81% of 2017-18 graduates with PSAV or PSVC certificates       found on follow-up were in training-related employment or continuing their       education within one year
- 70% of 2012 transfer-out       students had completed a credential at MDC before transferring to a four-year       institution
- 48%  of MDC graduates complete a bachelor's degree within 6 years, compared to 44%  nationally
Successful progression includes those students who  graduated, are still enrolled in good standing, or left in good standing with  transferable credits.

- Our Haitian population is reflected by nearly 3,000 students       reporting a native language of Creole or French
- 16% of our credit students are resident aliens
- Another 4% are in refugee or asylum categories
- 5% are foreign visitors, including approximately 1,200       on student visas and nearly 500 on other types of visa

                      - More than half of MDC students       are the first in their families to attend college
- MDC provides access to higher       education for working students – 78% work while attending college, and 22%       work full time

Reflecting Our Community
                    
                      - In academic year 2017-18, MDC drew 33% of all standard diploma       graduates of Miami-Dade public high schools
- Dual High School enrollment has grown every year for the past five       years with over 8,000 students enrolled in academic year 2018-19 
- Miami-Dade County's public high school graduates were 92% minority       in 2018-19, compared to 59% minority statewide
