UpSkill Miami Scholarship
High Skill, High Wage, and High Demand Careers
Miami Dade College has partnered with United Way Miami to provide scholarships for students and future professionals in the South Florida healthcare community. Through this partnership, eligible students will receive FREE tuition, books, fees, uniform and a stipend.
Available Programs
- Central Sterile Processing Technician
- Surgical Technology (last semester)
- Respiratory Care (last semester)
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Pharmacy Technician
- Phlebotomy Technician
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (last semester)
Eligibility Requirements
- Students must meet program requirements before applying
- Must submit a current Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and exhibit financial need
- Must be a Miami-Dade County Resident
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must have a cumulative high school or college GPA of 2.5
- Attend mandatory orientation
Additional Information
- Funds will be applied at the in-state tuition rate after all other resources available to cover tuition and fees have been applied
