Miami Dade College uses MFA to authenticate users to college resources. See below for more information regarding setup, modifying and other MFA frequently asked questions.
If you have already setup your MFA account and your current authentication method is NOT Microsoft Authenticator – App based authentication – notification AKA “Push Notification,” you must change your default authentication method before the February 1st 2027 deadline. Alternative authentication methods such as Text Message (SMS) and Phone call will no longer be supported. Having one of these methods selected may result in the inability to access MDC resources.
To change your default authentication method to Push Notification, log in to: https://mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info
Under the Security info section
Click Change next to the Default sign-in method:
Select App based authentication – notification
Click Confirm
