SAT - Scholastic Assessment Test
The SAT is a globally recognized college admission test. It tests your knowledge of reading, writing and math — subjects that are taught every day in high school classrooms. Most students take the SAT during their junior or senior year of high school, and almost all colleges and universities use the SAT to make admission decisions.
The SAT doesn’t test logic or abstract reasoning. It tests the skills you’re learning in school: reading, writing and math.
The critical reading section includes reading passages and sentence completions.
The writing section includes a short essay and multiple-choice questions on identifying errors and improving grammar and usage.
The mathematics section includes questions on arithmetic operations, algebra, geometry, statistics and probability.
The test is timed. Examinees will have 3 hours and 45 minutes to take the SAT, not including breaks and check-in time. For more information please visit the SAT website.

For tests proctored by Miami Dade College for external vendors, under certain circumstances, arrangements for auxiliary aids and modifications may be available to students. For these tests, auxiliary aids and modifications are subject solely to the testing vendors availability, policies and approval. Instructions for Auxiliary Aids and Modifications:

On a typical test day, examinees will need to arrive by 7:45 a.m and the test should be finished between 12:30 and 1 p.m..
